W. L. Gore Medical

Biomedical/Technical Illustrations

W. L. Gore is the inventor of Gore-Tex fabrics. The fabric was originally designed to insulate underwater electric cables. W. L. Gore and Associates realized there was potential with the technology in medical applications.
While working with the Packaging and Labeling Team, I’ve designed layouts for the cartons, labels for exterior cartons and interior pouches, page layout for the Instructions for Use, universal design used in visual recognition systems for products, and biomedical visuals/technical illustrations. I created several hundred technical illustrations between several products. The image above is a rendition of anatomy used in the types of illustrations I have done, but without the actual device in place due to nondisclosure contractual obligations.
